A Sudoku puzzle is a grid of nine by nine squares or cells that have been subdivided into nine subgrids or "regions".

The objective of Sudoku is to enter numbers ranging from 1 through 9 in such a way that each Row, Column, and Square/Region contains each number exactly once.

Slowly converting some parts of SudoKai over to an online version. Many other parts will remain in the downloadable version for now.

So visit often to observe progress made as well as to play and master Sudoku and multiple other variants online.

SudoKai v4.2 (Limited Edition) have been released.

Not much have changed, only a few minor tweaks here and there.

The only major enhancement is the release of the SudoKai Board Layout Manager/Builder.

I have enabled many features and included a few more Sudoku Variants in this release.

The latest release of SudoKai can now handle many more Sudoku Puzzle Variants and then some. This is mainly why development took so long as I had to solve some nasty Sudoku Programming Challenges I set myself, and yet many more awaits me.

SudoKai F.A.Q

Why can't I load SudoKai v2 & v3 games/files?
Many things are still to be incorporated into SudoKai and the internal data structures sometimes changes and things get moved around. But once I am certain that there will no longer be any major data restructuring then this feature will be made available.

What about SudoKai v4 for iOS, Linux, & other Operating Systems?
Resources are needed to make this happen.

Yes, you may generate Sudoku puzzles for private and commercial use.

Place your Sudoku Puzzle designs into a PDF file and keep them save as I might open up submissions at a later stage.

What happened to the Sudoku Layout Manager/Builder?
Although I would Love for people to design their own Sudoku Layouts and games, the current version is not user friendly and there are many areas that needs more work done.

Besides this, there are some seriously cool, amazing, and mind blowing Sudoku secrets in there that I am not yet willing to share.

2019 Update: SudoKai v4.2 now includes the SudoKai Layout Manager/Builder.

Android F.A.Q

When will version v4 for Android and iPhone be released?
Resources are needed to make this happen.

Why does SudoKai for Windows have a solver, but the Android version does not?
The windows versions have been developed using Delphi 5 and Lazarus respectfully.

The Android version have been developed using the SDK (Eclipse) tools.

Thus I had to convert Object Pascal over to C/Java/Android code. Because of the conversion many coding differences crept in. One of them being that I could no longer reference or pass data using Pointers.

Additionally, my SudoKai Delphi/Lazarus code is neat and tidy, but converting it over to Android it becomes dirty and virtually impossible to maintain/follow. I really do miss "With" statement functionality.
